Material and care
Always burn the votive in a fireproof cup-type vessel that safely contains melted wax. Place the vessel on a stable, heat-safe surface away from drafts and never leave a burning candle unattended.

The wicks just burn very long inspite of my attempts to keep them trimmed and the wax would go everywhere. That made the burning time of the candles very short. Within less than 2 hours, they would be just a puddle of wax and I was disappointed by that.
